Hi everyone! My sincere apologies for the lack of posts lately! It just so happens that a lull in in Royal updates came at a very busy time in my life, worked out wonderfully for me..but not so much for my readers. And to clarify, by “busy time” I mostly mean the football playoffs – which happen to occur on Sunday, the day I usually gather my posts for the week ahead. Coincidentally, football ends the night before the anniversary of the official mark of Queen Elizabeth’s 60th year on the throne. I also realize that a great deal of my followers don’t care a bit about football in the states.. but my team is in the Super Bowl, so I just had to mention As the “busy season” for our royals approaches, I wanted to share with you my favorite quotes from Her Majesty to hold us over. There is no shortage of inspiration when it comes to The Queen, and truthfully, I think most of us could sit around for days discussing our favorite moments, lines, speeches and quotations, but there are two in particular that have always stood out to me.

“I like to a free spirit. Some don’t like that, but that’s the way I am.”

I have always found humor in the above remarks from the beloved Queen as they truly demonstrate what many people love about her – she may be an 85-year-old British Monarch, but deep down, she really gets it.
